The Municipal Economic and Information Committee officially released the "Beijing Intelligent Networking Automotive Industry White Paper (2018)".
The white paper proposes that in 2022, with the goal of realizing the full application of intelligent networked vehicles in the Winter Olympics, Beijing will form a complete technical system for intelligent networked vehicles that meets the requirements of advanced automatic driving (L4 level), with a demonstration area of 500 square kilometers. The city's intelligent networked car and related industries reached 100 billion yuan; the city's automatic driving open test road mileage reached 2,000 kilometers.
Intelligent networked car cracks "urban disease"
"The promotion and application of intelligent networked vehicles will greatly reduce the number of traffic accidents and congestion caused by human factors, further improve energy efficiency and traffic efficiency. At the same time, it can also provide green, convenient and shared modes of travel to reduce driving burden." Wang Gang, director of the Municipal Economic and Information Committee, said that for megacities like Beijing, intelligent networked vehicles can alleviate the "urban disease" of traffic congestion and motor vehicle pollution.
Factors such as scientific research and innovation capabilities, industrial base, and talents have become the advantages of Beijing's development of intelligent networked automobile industry. The white paper shows that the Beijing auto industry has formed a multi-point layout and agglomeration development trend in Shunyi District, Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, Changping District and Fangshan District. In 2017, the number of enterprises above designated size in the automobile industry in Beijing reached 239, achieving a total industrial output value of 447.33 billion yuan.
As of October 17, 2018, Beijing has opened 44 social roads for automatic driving tests, 8 innovative entities have been tested and 35 self-driving vehicles have obtained test licenses, achieving a safety test mileage of 63,000 kilometers.
Proposed 5G car networking in key areas
With the goal of realizing the comprehensive application of intelligent networked vehicles in the Winter Olympics, the city will speed up the progress of intelligent network technology and product development, accelerate the launch of new technologies, upgrade new vehicles, improve practical capabilities, and improve technical standards, application standards and safety standards. , basically complete the construction of intelligent networked automotive technology system.
Beijing will accelerate the mass production of L3 and L4 new cars around the five key elements of “car, road, cloud, network and map”; carry out the transformation of intelligent road network and build a batch of Internet roads; build a traffic cloud that meets the travel needs of megacities; 2020 In the year, the 5G vehicle network construction was completed in key areas; the high-precision map industry was vigorously developed.
So, in which areas can citizens see the application of autonomous driving? Beijing will focus on Haidian District, Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone and Shunyi District to accelerate the implementation of large-scale demonstration and application. In the demonstration area, the skilled and self-driving vehicles will launch a fixed-time, fixed-area, multi-mode manned trial service. At the same time, in some demonstration parks, the self-driving logistics vehicles and special-purpose work vehicles will drive and time-sharing with the traditional motor vehicles.
Pilot building smart bus lane
In Yanzhan Expressway, Jingxiong Expressway, New Airport Expressway and other expressways, urban main loops, urban tie lines and other expressways, the city will implement intelligent network-connected dedicated lanes to study the pilot of intelligent networked vehicle testing in the prescribed sections. . Focusing on the needs of specific scenes such as the Winter Olympics, in the Yanchong Expressway and service areas, tests such as automatic driving, formation driving, and ferry connection will be gradually carried out to prepare for the Olympic Games automatic driving application.
In addition, Beijing will also select roads in the demonstration area, analyze traffic dynamics, achieve efficiency applications such as signal timing optimization, speed guidance, and congestion reminders; comprehensive coordination of roadside parking guidance and billing, and low-speed vehicle auto-driving guidance. Demonstration application; piloting the construction of intelligent network bus lanes to achieve accurate forecast of bus arrival time; using a free time of bus lanes, a batch of bus lanes will be built into an intelligent network connection technology experiment verification platform.
In the demonstration area, one-stop intelligent travel services including time-sharing leasing, smart bus, smart parking, and end-to-end customized travel will be provided to form a shared integrated transportation service system.
